In the fanfiction verison of the same episode of Power Rangers Thunderstorm, Max Collins did the same thing with his crush Vanessa. He wanted to impress her with a pair of pearl earrings (which is her favorite), but couldn't afford them. Just when he gives up, an unexpected opportunity presents him with exactly what he was looking for. Little does he know that Vita has plans for his date with Vanessa, especially when the earrings cast a spell on all but Susie and Max. Both must face the Oysterizer who shoots acidic goo from his stomach.
Synopsis[]
Vanessa's birthday is coming up, and Max wants to take her out. He arranges a nice double date with Drew & Susie (who was near graduating from junior high) and her at a fancy French restaurant. He seeks a pair of pearls earrings to give to Vanessa, but is unable to afford any. Max finds a strange hustler at the park, who gives him a pair real cheap. It turns out, the hustler was a putty in disguise, and the pearls are the evil Pearls Of Stillness!
Vanessa happily puts them on, and freezes everyone in the restaurant. Max and Susie are the only ones unfrozen, and must fight Vita's Oysterizer monster to undo the pearl's effects. The duo do so, but Vanessa's angered about the disintegrating earrings. The Rangers, in the Megazord & Dragonzord, take on Oysterizer under water! Later, Max sings Vanessa a ballad, with they Chandler twins providing the music. Susie and the Chandler twins graduate from junior high.
